O.K. I need a little help here so I am asking the experts. I have a table of companies. I need some of the companies to be one color and some of the companies to be another color within the same table. I know it is possible but I do not know how to make it happen. If anyone can help it would be appriciated. Thanks.

You can go to the tools menu and select options and then the datasheet tab. This will change colors of font, background and grid for the datasheet; however, if you want only specific fields in a datasheet to change color and not the whole thing then I'm not to sure how to do that.

In A2k you can use conditional formatting, bit more difficult with 97 post back with some details of what you are trying to do.

Thanks guys, I am using 2000. I have a list of 40 companies in a combo table. 15 of these need to be a bright red so they stand out. They are special. The other 25 companies need to stay as they currently are. Any help????

First of all, add a field to your company table that indicates a high priority customer (if you don't already have one) ie chkPriorityCustomer.

Create a form and place the fields you want to view. For each form, highlight it and choose Conditional Formatting from the Format menu. Here you can set criteria that if the chkPriorityCustomer = True and change the colour of your field.
