HI,
I need to be able to create a report that has names as row headings and days as column headings.
We are a childcare provider, I need to create a weekly register report. The report should have child names as row headings, days as column headings and at the intersection, should have the session name they have booked for i.e half day, full day etc. A bit like a traditional timesheet but instead of hours/day it would be sessionname/day.
I have tired multiple columns, using queries, extracting into excel etc. Pivot tables give me what i am looking for but it puts a calculated value at the intersection rather than the sessionname.
I know I can do a portrait report by childname, then day, then session booked, but it wastes paper, a landscape style report would be far easier and more intuitive when replacing what is used today. When I do this type of report, the days come out in alphabetical order i.e. friday before monday, which is a pain, but not sure how to dynamically list days by weekday number and still keep the day name.
Any ideas?
Many thanks
Lee
