combine text and memo fields in one text box

I've got a report where I need to display a combination of two fields in one text box. The first field is a text field, and the second is a memo. I tried setting the control to

=[ACTREQD] & " " & [COMMENT]

but this only prints "#error"

The COMMENT is really an extension for ACTREQD and they need to read together. Not every ACTREQD has a COMMENT, and they vary in size, so I had planned to use grow/shrink for the single text box.

Thanks Rich. I looked up Nz and it was just what I needed. I also had to change the name of my control, but it to works now.
