Combining a related Datasheet & Single Form from the same table

I am trying to re-create the Calls form used in the Contact Management template which is a Bullet Point datasheet with a single form containing detailed notes (Memo), all info is sourced from the same table. The nice touch it has is that as you scroll down the bullet points for each customer the contents of the detailed notes in the memo box changes in sync to each bullet point, which saves acres of space on a contact form. The sample I mention seems very straight forward until it reveals that there is a macro lurking in there created through the expression builder and an event procedure to kick off the routine through a control button, it is all further confused by an autodialler, which I don't need, which makes the build of the event procedure very complex, any help would be greatly appreciated

This isn't really that complex, it just requires an understanding of subforms and also referring to objects in a form.

The Calls form contains 2 subforms...1 that lists all calls and 1 that lists the details of each conversation listed in the first subform. The Calls form itself refers to the contact ID field in the contacts form to know which contacts' call history to display.

Why don't you tell me how far you have gotten in your development and I'll see if I (and the Contacts app) can help you get through the rest of it.

What I have done in the end is create a new table and a subform with a Date and Type of Contact control, then placed the subform onto the main form with a control button that takes me to "View all contact records". I shrunk the display box down to reveal only the current record on the main form and added a control button to "Add a New Record"

It works, not as well as the Calls system, I could always e-mail you my programme so that you could see what I have done and see if you can apply the Calls type subforms.

Also I have another problem in setting up a report from a Switchboard button that will give a listing of all the people I want to contact from todays date to 7 days from now, the info source is a "Next contact date" field..............I really appreciate your help
