Combo box clearing on enter

Hi

I'm a bit confused about the behaviour of my combo boxes.

If you click with the mouse and select a value from the list, the value will remain in the combo box following the After_update function

If you type in a value then press enter the value will dissapear from the combo box following the After_update function

I need the value to always remain in the combo box, any idea why it is dissapearing?

Well, Just off the top of my head, this is something that happens on one of my forms, is that the form moves to the next record, even though another record is not allowed. But it still stores the number, so if you make it go back to the previous record the number is still there.

Other than that, I don't really know. Could this be happening with you also?

I've realised why this is happening.. pressing enter moves the focus onto the next combo box (which clears all combo boxes on screen due to a GotFocus function)

Any way round this? To stop the enter keypress moving onto the next in the tab order?

The only thing I can think of is to maybe find some coding that might make it keep focus on the enter key being pressed. There is an "On Enter" event. I don't know what that code would be though. I hope this helps.

Also, you would probably want to apply it to the "On Enter" event not the "After Update" event.

Thanks for your help! managed to fix the problem with some cunning rearrangement of on enter and got focus
