Combo Box Drop Down

When I get focus of a combo box I do an automatic dropdown but when I select an item from the list the dropdown doesn't close so it covers my other fields until I click randomly anywhere on the form. How can I get the dropdown to close as soon as I make my selection from the list?

Are you certain you aren't using the combo's dropdown method elsewhere? I ask because I can't replicate this. When I dropdown a combo in its Got Focus event handler and then select an item from the list, the combo-list closes...

No. I use it as an event procedure "got focus". Should it be used perhaps in "after update" or another . Also the drop list isn't on the field it can be anywhere on the form. But when I click the field it moves to the field.

This sounds like something I would like to use. How do program the combo box to automaticly drop down when you get focus?
