Combo box on form (Urgent)

Dear All

I have a form based on a parameter query to input data. On one filed PART NO, on my form I want it to be a combo box so that when I open the form I could select the required PART NO from that combo box and it would take me to that record on my form.
I have tried following but did not work.

1. Inserted a text box on form and changed it to combo box and on properties I selected the name of parameter query on which the form is based but it prompts to say that you would have to select a different data source.
2. Changed PART NO field to combo box.
3. Changed PART NO field in actual table on which query is based on, to combo box

Please somebody help. I am stuck right now.

what are you using as the criteria for your parameter query? If you originally had a text box I am assuming you have something like [Enter Part No]

You would need to have the parameter query look to the combo box for an entry something like [forms]![Yourformname]![yourcomboboxname]

As you advised I followed your other answers and finally got the solution by using combo box option. It is working as I wanted it to be.
