This I am sure has been covered but either I have not found it or don't understand what I found.

I have a combo box with the Sales Rep name in it. when the sales rep is selected I need to fill a txt box with the correct Office Name. the sales rep name is built from a table that has three fields in it. Sales Rep name, Sales Office nbr, and Sales Office Name. Can someone please help me. :o

You might want to look on how you have your database setup... Can you have more then one sales rep at a store?

To help answer your question, you could construct the form based off a query.... and have the other fields be just txt fields....

include the office name in the combobox (you don't have to show it). after selecting a name, YourTextBox = YourCombobox.Column(x). (Columns start at zero).

(sry rhett, u beat me to it)

Yes, there is more than one sales rep at a store...but only one can be entered on the form from the combo box.

Les....

Then you might want to think about the normilazion of your database... do a search on this forum and you will find a ton of information and examples of what I am talking about.

I am not refering to the form itself but your design itself......

Thanks, Both of you were a big help. it worked. now just one little question in the combo box I want to show only the Sales Rep. right now it shows both the sales rep and the sales office. Is there a way to do that.:D

set the column width(s) of the column(s) you don't want to show to zero.
