Combo Box Records

i have created a form( based off a table, but it will soon be based off a query after the correction is made). on the form, i created numerous (16 ) combo boxes which align one under another.they are all based off a query. i am trying to format the comboxes to look like a list. the list is a list of objectives on a plan.

I didnt create a list box because there are many objectives which are dynamic and which also do not display properly.

the problem i have encountered is when i select one objective message off the list, the combo boxes underneath are dependent and automatically convert to display the objective i selected on the first combo box. each record on the combo box is displaying- on a new form. the records are listed hortizatal on different forms and i would like to have them listed vertically on the same form. i working off two tables on the form. however, the two tables are not linked.

I am attempting to grasp what you are exactly wanting without much understanding; however, it sounds like cascading combo boxes for your first problem.

I am attaching a demo taken off this site and produced by Siacom Systems. Through inspection, it may provide you with the solution you are looking for.

For your second problem, displaying records vertically instead of horizontally. In datasheet view 1 record's fields are horizontal and each record is vertical. I am not sure what you are looking for.

very helpful but unfortunatley, cascading box will not help me accomplish that particular task.
