Combo Box update problem

Hello,

I am using a combo box to quickly bring up a student record. I am aslo trying to use it to display the last name of the student to keep the form looking simple. The problem I am having is when someone steps through the records by using the arrows at the bottom of the form. The combo box does not update it remains on whatever name the user selects from the list. For example 'John' 'Smith' is the record currently displayed and the user steps to the nexts record and 'Jane' 'Smith' is displayed, but Janes last name is 'Hill'. All the remaining fields are correct for Jane.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks that solution worked for me. This database is just for looking at the data, it is not the actual student database. I created this one to help in filling out a testing form, so we don't need or want to change the data. But thanks for the warning.
