Combo Box (1 Viewer)

I'm using a combo box from a table for a pick list to fill a field in another table. The text comes up and I can select my choice and this all looks good but the text isn't being stored in the field, the key number is being stored. Why is this happening ?

Try changing your 'Bound Column' to the column that isn't the key field. If you have 2 columns, the first being the key and the second being the actual text you want to store, then choose column 2 as your bound column. Then under format you may need to change your column count to 2 with the widths of those columns being 0";1" (or whatever width you want on the second column)... changing the column count and widths only depend on if you want to see both columns appear in your combo drop down list or not.
