Combo boxes

I have to have a set of combo boxes to select a code in steps
e.g code 1we4

BOX 1 User selects 1


Box 2 User Selects 1w

Box 3 User selcts 1we


Box 4 User selcts 1we4


so it has to be done in steps as below.


how would i go about doing that.

i think i kinda did this...
i had a drug in one box and in the next box the Forms that that drug came in and then the frequencey that drug in that form came in etc... is that kinda what you are looking for??? let me know and ill try and help!

Do a qry that lists all the variations
Of your data.
e.g. say if they select 1, in box two 1
Could come in w,e,h. if they select 2,
box two could come in w,p,v.if they select 1,w,
box three could come in p,l,o BUT if they select
1,e, box three can come in a,b,c.

you need a qry of this

Create your 4 combo boxes using the wizard
base them on your qry.
call the first pick1
2nd pick2
3rd pick3
4th pick4

go into properties of combo1 click on the 3 dots
... next to row source.and do the grouped by thing.combo1
should be (your number selection)
then go into the same bit in the second combo and in
the criteria [Forms]![nameofform]![pick1](pick1 being the name
of the first combo).etc.

e.g.i had pickDrug1, pickForm1, pickStrength1, pickFrequency1.

i went into pickDrug1 properties-row source-then did group by
(in this combos row source qry there was only one columnrug)

i went into pickForm1 properties-row source-did group by and went
to the criteria (in the first column) underneath Drug.
(In this combos row source qry there was 2 columnsrug+Form)

Drug after a : tends to give me rug this was not intentional, he he, found it funny though but just to let you know the very last smile was a smile the others b4 were Drug!
