Hi

I am very new to Access and this is probably a very simple problem but it is baffling me.
I have 2 tables Assets and Asset Type. There is a one to many relationship. Asset Type has 2 fields Asset Ref and Description.
I have created a form for the Asset table with a combo box for the Asset Ref. It shows me the Asset Types and lets me pick the one I want, storing the Asset Ref on the Assets table. My problem is that I want to display the Asset Description on the form so that you can see that the asset is a Desktop, Printer etc. rather that 4, or 34
Any Ideas? I know it must be relatively simple but the manuals and F1 help don't seem to have any useful info.
Thanks in anticipation

Hello Larsporsenna, Welcome to AWF.. :)

You can get this sorted by fixing your ComboBox properties.. Mainly your Column Count, Column Widths, Bound Column information..

What is the RowSource of the ComboBox? If it is osmething like..
Code:
SELECT assetID, assetDescription FROM assetTable;
You can change the following..
Column Count - 2
Column Widths - 0cm;2.5cm
Bound Column - 1

Thanks Now I have to use it to display a couple of other fields. Who knows I may be looking for help again?
