ComboBox issue

Hello All,

I have a combobox on my form which I have typed two values into (S & C), which corrispond to Staff or Customer. So if I select S I will see staff records.
I would really like is to have the combobox to display the two values available as Staff Records & Customer Records rather than just S & C, but if I slect Customer Records I still need C to be the value sent to the query.
In short, display a description to the value that will be used.

I really hope that made sense and I hope somebody can help.

I do like your example which has given me some ideas for others sections I have. However after playing around with this I have figured out a solution.

I have a added a column to the query that uses the combo box like so:
In the field row I have: iif([record_type]="S","Staff Records","Customer Records")
*record_type* is a field in my table that is used in the query

and then in the criteria row of the same column I have: [Forms]![search]![cbo_record_type]
