combobox to open subform

I searched and don't quite understand how to use a combobox selection to open a specific subform. I have a combobox with 14 choices and I'd like the specific subform to show based on the combobox selection (the data for each selection is stored in it's own table). If someone could break this down barney style for me I would appreciate it.
