Hi there,
Something appears to have happened to my Access application resulting in an error message when I attempt to create and use command buttons.
On a new form I can use the “command button” button from the toolbox to create a new button. I go through the wizard choosing the options for the buttons function, everything appears to be fine, and the button is created on the form. However, when I go to Form View and click on the button I get the following error message:
“Error accessing file. Network connection may have been lost”
If I go back into design mode and click on the “command button” button on the toolbox and then click on the form to place another button on the form the same message appears.
I am running Access 2000 (9.0.2720), and having been building forms and buttons for several months now without this problem. My Access 2000 was installed as part of a standalone version of Microsoft Office 2000 Professional. I am often connected to my works LAN but I have used Access whilst not connected many times in the past without this error occurring.
Can anybody help me in determining what is causing this error and how to fix it?
Many thanks,
Alan
