command button wizard doesn't start

When adding a button to a form the wizard for the command button doesn't start in any database I have including creating a new database.

Can anyone suggest a fix please?

I am getting better at programming the buttons myself - and certainly eager to do so, but the wizard is helpful to show you the code when attempting something different.


I have looked though a few pages of the threads and haven't found anything - so if I have missed the same thread I apologise. Is there a facility to search threads, rather than sort etc?

Have you unclicked the wizard icon, perhaps which disables it.

On the design tab (access 2007), make sure the 'Use Control Wizards' is selected (see attached image)

somehow must have turned off Use Control Wizards
now found it (in 2010)
