Compact And Repair Caused There isn't enough memory to perform this operation. Close

Just finished the first stage of my database, lots of data entered, working as planned.

Made a backup (thank god), then run compact and repair.

On running it produced a table - MSysCompactError
Errorcode: -1611
ErrorDescription: The Microsoft Access database engine stopped the process because you and another user are attempting to change the same data at the same time.
ErrorRecid: 瘬
ErrorTable: MSysAccessStorage

It now will not open a report - the only one i actually need
Everytime i try to open i get the error There isn't enough memory to perform this operation. Close..
Access process is using 16mb, over 1gb free memory.

File size went from 8mb to 1.3mb

What should I be looking for here? Any pointers?

make another back up, and try again.

compile the dbs, to make sure there are no errors

if it persists, try creating a new dbs, and import all the objects.

8mb/1.3mb is not so big.
