Greetings,
Could someone please explain to me what happens (and why it is needed) when the Database is compacted and repaired. My database stores data in a seperate SQL server database, with only lookup tables in the Access database. On use for a day or so it increases in size from ~90MB to 200MB. Then I have to compact and repair. None of the reports have embedded images. Any reports that are created are printed to PDF (using Lebans method) and emailed using Lotus Notes (through VBA code). There are many forms with embedded bitmap buttons and some images and photos (that don't change). So what causes the doubling in size all the time?? The .mde file that is multi-user does not increase in size, only the .mdb (development database) does during testing.
Regards,
Josh
