compact design master

Hi ,

How do I reduce the size of a replicated database, I'm not worried about the replicas just the design master.

I tried deleting all the records in the tables and then compact, but it doesn't seem to work.

The compact and reapair function should do the trick, and you can also set the MDB to always compact on close. If it wont comapct any smaller, then chances are it is as small as it will get. If you need to compress it further for e-mailing or transfering on disk, I would recomend zipping it.

Thanks, that is what I expected but in an unreplicated database if you delete the records, it will reset the autonumber to 1. This is not happening and is the contributing factor to the size of the DB

This seems to be the source of my problem, I don't think I want to go this route. I have to recreate my database and not replicate it.
