I do not have any experience with Access,
and I want to know how it compares with
other solutions like Sql Server with regards
to concurrency issues in a networked
environment. Every instance that I know of
where Access is used, it is a single instance
that is used in a single-user environment.
I have heard that Access does not do well
with remote access or with supporting
multiple concurrent users. Is this true? Or
does it handle it, but there are issues to
consider? If so, what are they?

In my experience, Access can safely support 15-20 users concurrently.

SQL Server, when designed and implemented correctly can support hundreds or more.
