Hello.

I'd like to apply formatting to a cell, let's say A1, if the value in A1 equals the value in any cell in a range, such as A26:Y50 . So, for example... assume that cell A1 holds the numeric value "156". If 156 appears (cell value, not a portion) anywhere in A26:Y50 , I want the formatting to be applied to A1. I tried it... can't get it right. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Try using conditional format formula for A1:

=COUNTIF($A$26:$Y$50,A1)>0

Holy cow! That worked. THANKS!

I have, for a long time, thought of myself as a pretty high-functioning Excel user. But then... I get jammed up and am given a simple solution to a seemingly difficult problem, making me realize just how little I know.

Thanks again. This worked great!
