I need advise from you guys please

I have two table data base (Patient Info) + (Referral Info) with one to many relationship.

I devised a form to display patients information and their mental health diagnosis.

On my referral form (subform) I have I have list box facility with various possible diagnosis. What I want to do is ... if the user selected "Dementia" from the look up/list box...

I want to display a Butterfly next to the patient's name (Main form)

(1) I don't want the picture to be in C drive rather I want the picture to be part of the database

(2) How can I put the conditional display (if Diagnosis is = "dementia" then Butterfly)

Thanks for your advise/support

Before we go any further... How many pictures are you planning on including because the database has a 2 gig limit which you quickly hit by storing pictures. You can store them on the network if it's availibility to other Users you are concerned about.

To answer you toher question,,, yes you can make it conditional. But do you want it to be based on the Patient or the Condition?

Hi GinaWhipp

Thanks for your reply.

Only one picture (In my referral Table, I have a field called Diagnosis: for this I have lookup box facility, one of the diagnosis is Dementia. So if user happened to tick Dementia as one of the diagnosis - then I want the form to display a butterfly)

There are many other diagnosis but I am not planning to apply a picture for those.

This is based on the condition

For Example Mr Smith (Patients Detail table) Has mental health diagnosis (a filed coming from Referral Table called Diagnosis: has dementia) So, the butterfly will come if Dementia has been selected from the look up options.

Thanks everyone for your support.

Not sure I understand where you are storing this picture. It's in the Rerral table? You need a Table of Diagnosis so we can attach the image to the Diagnosis. Not going to loop a table to find the one record that has an image attached that will never work... at least not the way anyone would do it.

Gina, I think Indi123 hasn't got the picture stored anywhere yet.

But Indi, the solution will also depend on the kind of form you're making. Single, Continuous or Datasheet form?

vbaInet... which I offered a suggestion as to where it could be stored (since it's only one picture). Waiting to hear back for, Indi123...
