I converted a database from 2000 to 97 using previous version. When I open the database I get the following error message: " Microsoft Access cant open the form [Name of Form]. It contains data that Microsoft Access doesn't recognise. Re-create the form or, if you maintain back up copies of your database, retrieve a copy of the form.

The thing is if I open the 97 version in 2000 it happily converts it and it runs OK, I can't think of anything unusual that I have done recently in my ammendments that would cause this.

Any ideas, if not I will have to back track till the error dissapears.

I would suggest trying to delete that errorred form and then importing it from the 2000 database into the 97.

Or

If the form doesn't have to many bells and whistles...then just recreate it. Sometimes you can waste much more time trouble shooting then you would if you just recreated what you needed.

I have converted it several times and tried it on different computers tyo make sure it isn't referencs etc but no go. Unfotunately it is an all signing dancing form so I will have to persevere.

Thanks

Thanks Rich,

I have unchecked the ADO Objects Library in references and in A2K my app still works OK, however it will be tomorrow before I can check to see if that was causing the problem.

Hi Rich

Still no go, I have gone through all my codes and event procedures to see if there is any ADO's and I can't find any. I there an easy way of idetifying them.
