I have a couple Access DBs that I want to convert to backend SQL. Are there any great step by step tutorials out there to help? After I convert the tables to SQL what is the best practice for the front end. Leave it MDB, switch it to an ADP, convert to something brand new? I just do not know.

The whole .adp / .mdb thing is down to personal preference I think..

I prefer .adp but I am sure I heard someone in the past talk about Microsoft no longer supporting .adp...can anyone verify this?

There aren't relly any step by step tutorials because all sytems are different, but there are a few good books like this one for example:

http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Access-Developers-Guide-Server/dp/0672319446

You would be well advised to lookup the key differences between Access and Sql Server and that should start you in the right direction
