I have search here and didn't find what I was looking for. Would I have to break it down to 3 different fields? Then write a code to convert?

I was thinking maybe a update querry.

Any ideas.

Search the Access help files for the Format() function for more info and examples.

Thanks I found what I was looking for. I was searching under converting dates, didn't think to search for Formating dates.

FYI
Date: Format([award dtd],"mmmm dd"", ""yyyy")

To many quotes. Try...

Format([award dtd],"mmmm dd, yyyy")

You should avoid using spaces in your object names!

Also, "Date" is a reserved word!

Hi ghudson,

Also, "Date" is a reserved word!

More so from an interest point of view what actually happens when you use reserved words?

Have you had any exprience with using them and what actually occurs when they are used or maybe what does not occur?

I see what you mean about to many quotes. I will take your advise.

Thanks again ghudson.

You will confuse Access and not get the results you want or a runtime error.

Date is a reserved word for the Date() function. If you have a field named Date and you try to call it Access will think you are calling the Date function, not your field named Date.

Date() Function

List of reserved words in Access 2002 and Access 2003

Searching is a great way to discover and learn the answers to your Access programming questions.
