copy textbox value(unbound)to bound textbox

This may seem simple to some but we all gotta start sometime.I cant get the unbound textbox value in to a bound textbox, what code would I use and where would it go.
Have tried stuff like me!textbox1=me!textbox2 and puttuing all over the place , on click, after update etc but nothing!

Why can't you input directly into the bound textbox if it is (seems to be) on the same form?

Put this in the AfterUpdate event proceedure of your first text box.

Me.txtYourTextBox2 = Me.txtYourTextBox1
