Hey everybody,
I have been posting a lot about my constant troubles with record corruption. I would get one line of bizzare characters and that record would be lost and I would have to go to a backup to retrieve it. I tried all of the suggestions offered to me, even the nitpickiest ones and the corruption continued. THEN, a week or two ago (while I was out of town of course) The server died. What was it you ask? The Power Supply. Who would have thought to check the burly, to ask don't care power supply. But previous to it going we lost maybe a record a day and then it just pooped out and died. Replaced it and haven't lost anything since. (Crossing my fingers)
My theory is that the supply was going low enough to not restart the server but just low enough to upset Access. And of course my UPS did nothing because how can it give power to something that isn't ready to receive it?
Well that is all. I just hope maybe this may help any others who may be experiencing such difficulties.
