Hi,
I assume you want to display a report for exactly one sale group and exacly one year.
To do so you could use several queries:
In the first one you include all needed 'columns' (esp the >date< and >sales_group< 'columns') and in this query you put in the "criteria" line (for the respective 'column') an expression like
[Date ?]
or like
[Sales Group]
this will make Access pow up a window asking for the date and the sales group; after entering it will show you all records with these entries. (the only important thing are the "[" and "]" the text between them is up to you.
In the second query you should take the columns from the first one and "group" all 'columns' except for the >$sold< 'column'; there must be a "Sum". This 2nd query should calculate the totals of your sales group in a period. ("grouping" works only for identical entries: the dates 01/01/03 and 01/02/03 will stay different lines while Jan. 03 and Jan. 03 will get one line! That is why you might have leave the date in the 2nd query out).
If you base your report on the 2nd query it should do ...
