I did write it to the Control Source of a textbox, but the table is not being updated. All other fields are updated in the table from the form.

You misunderstand what I'm saying.

You asked, "How can I produce a report ? The table is missing this field." My response to that was paste it in the Control Source of a textbox in the report or put in a query and use that query as the Record Source of your report. Like I said, calculate it anytime you need it, whether it be in a query, form or report, simply use the same calculation.
