create checkers matrix

Hi all,

I got asked to create a checkers matrix to have some selected checkers check the quality from some selected analyst. To be honest, I'm clueless how to handle this and was wondering what would be the best approach.
Each checker well be able to check the quality of all the analyst, but in some cases, the line manager wants to connect one checker to several analyst to check their quality. I was thinking about a matrix that there would be a combo box where the line manager could select the name of the checker and then some fields with possible analyst names. When a checker would click a button to get the next case to be checked, it will first filter on the analyst names connected to that checker and the next available case that needs to be done, will popup.
Do you have any suggestions how to make this work proper? are there any examples out there?

Sometimes people come to MS Access because they have a problem they want to solve. They know the problem needs to handle data, that's why they thought of MS Access.

MS Access is not going to solve your problem! In fact it will probably give you a load more problems. Before you can build your MS Access database you need to solve the problem on paper. I don't mean you have to write down everything like an essay, I mean you have to develop a system that you can give to anyone in paper form.

Think of a typical business before MS Access, before computers even. Everything was done with paper. And not only that, the "paper" had a particular format --- "a form" ... That should give you a big hint! An MS Access form is a digital representation of a paper form.

Look at your current system, you should be able to identify these "Forms" (these paper versions of a Form) they might not look like forms, they might be a Post-it note, they might be a telephone call to a colleague --- but they will be there in some form or other!

Work on this paper system and improve it. Where people are using Post-it notes, print out a paper version. This is important because you need the people doing the task to build your system, (not you) If you show them MS Access and what you've done they will just glaze over!

If you give them a piece of paper they will draw another box on it, and say I need to record this date; I need to check that this has been done, that's been done. In other words your system will be useful to them and there feedback will be invaluable to you.
