Hi Guys,

I'm trying to create an export specification by doing File - Export... - choosing text file - Export All. At which point the Export Specification window should pop up, but it doesn't. It just goes straight ahead and exports the table data to a text file, but in the wrong format.

Why is the Spec. Window not appearing? Is there another way to create Export Specifications?

Thanks for any help,

T

I believe it Exports the selected object in the Objects window. We're talking Access 2007 right?

No its 2003, It doesnt make any sense, i can set up Import specifications fine, but the Export Spec. Wizard doesn't come up when its supposed to. Maybe i've innadvertantly switched a setting or something?

its funny that - i thought i had the same issue as this, and boblarson showed me where the advanced button was.

but i have just tested, and i cant find it again - i get exactly the same result as you

i will dig out bobs post and come back on this

--------------
right

you only get the advanced/file spec option if you try to save as text or csv

if you save as excel, it just does it without options, which then gives you the advanced tab

-----------
are you sure you arent saving as excel - then you get an export all option

if you save as text, you only get an export option.

Yeah, Im changing the file type to a text document. Thanks for helping me with this guys, it's been driving me mad for a few days now!
