Hi Sir

Firstly I want to thanks access forums member who always help me and give me a appropriate reply.

Today my problem is that

I have many coloumns in my table
But I want to put a formula in the single coloumn

Sales
10000
5000
65000
35000
15000
14400
100000
52330

Out of this sale we have to pay a bank commision so what i required is that when commission is Rs. 30 then it must be add in sales and another coloumn is created which is Salewithcomm.

Commision Calculated on basis

When sale upto 9999 then Commision is Rs. 30,
when sale is between 10000 to 14999 then commision is Rs. 50
and above 15000 we have to charge Rs. 3.50 per thousand

So please make a formula for this for me

Thanks in Advance
Ashish

Simple Problem

I think I got that formula

Commission: Round(IIf([Amt]<=10000,30,IIf([Amt] Between 9999 And 15000,50,IIf([Amt]>15000,[Amt]/1000*3.5))))

and then after I create a coloumn Salewithcoloumn : Sale + Commission

I think I choose right manner to do this

But I have one problem
is that I required a round figure in different manner

for example

when value comes in Commission is 144.35 its must be round as 145 beside 144 is that possible please reply me for this

Thanks
Ashish

use something like this int(Commission+1)

for example int(144.35) returns 144 so int(145.35+1) return 145

If you want to round 144.35 to 145 try this

realvalue = 144.35
roundedvalue = round(realvalue+0.5,0)

You may need to play around with this for a little to get exactly what you want.

problem

use something like this int(Commission+1)

for example int(144.35) returns 144 so int(145.35+1) return 145

but sir it must be create a problem when value is 144.59 or something like that

becaue i required that when value is 144.59 then also it will be show 145
so there is any solution for this or not

Please tell me
and thanks for your reply

Ashish

Both solutions above will give you 145 if the input is 144.0 to 144.99. i think that is what you want. Test them first so you can see if they meet your needs

I can't get that point how its work

Thanks

When this is my formula then where i have to put that round(realvalue+0.5,0)

Commission: Round(IIf([Amt]<=10000,30,IIf([Amt] Between 9999 And 15000,50,IIf([Amt]>15000,[Amt]/1000*3.5))))

please reply me for this
Urgently
Ashish

The formula should read

Commission: Round(IIf([Amt]<=10000,30,IIf([Amt] Between 9999 And 15000,50,IIf([Amt]>15000,[Amt]/1000*3.5)))+0.5,0)

Good luck

Thank you very much to
Rabby and
Dennisk

My problem is solved last formula is exactly working for me

Thanks again
Bye
Take Care
Ashish
