Creating multiline textbox in code

Hello all,
I've checked the archives, and reveiwed several posts about displaying multiline textboxes.
I know it will display...but how do I create one in code?

Me.txtAddress = Me.Address1 & vbcr & Me.Address2
(Where Address1 and Address2 are fields in the underlying query)

...is not doing the trick. Instead of a new line in the textbox, I see a control character.

Anyone know how to do this?
