Criteria Parameter

is it possible that can we use the criteria parameter in report instead of a query?

If you create your parameter in a query and make that query the Record Source for your report, you can open the report and your parameter qill be requested as you open the report.

i am not using the query as source of report .
i want to put criteria in only report not in query

Reports usually use a query as a Record Source. How are you populating your Report

yes i am using a query to populating my report but i don't want to use criteria from query

I don't believe there is any way of avoiding using a criteria in the query. The report is simply a method of present the data selected by a query in a form that is easily read.

Can you out line what you are trying to achieve, perhaps there is an alternate way of reaching your goal.

The query is the proper place for the criteria. AFAIK, you can only Filter a report.
