Crosstab Query with Perameter (1 Viewer)

Hello,

I have the following:
1.) qryEventsMasterReport1 << main query

This consist of tblEvents​

2.) qryEventsMasterReport1a << used inside of the main query

This consist of a crosstab query with the General Ledger Coders I am tracking for the events and the EventID field to link the queries with​

To link the two queries I am using the EventID and all works fine until I try to attempt a perametwer on the Event Date field. If I enter a date or criteria (>=#3/1/2010#) in the event date it works fine, but when I try to use a perameter like >=[Please Enter Date] I get an error message "Microsoft Jet Engine does not recognize "[Please Enter Date]" as a valid field name or expression".

Any help in the right direction would be appreciated.

*** SOLVED ****

I need to declare the parameter.
In this case I was using a form to pick the date range, so I had to delare the path to the form as a date field in the parameter window.
