hello

i have just seen on a thread that you can create custom splash screens onload. Also with user login.

How do you create a custom splash screen to load on start of database?
How do you create users so that they can log in with passwords?

This wuold be a great addition to my database.

Help would be much appreciated.

As I mentioned in the other thread, the splash screen will just be a form.

Username / passwords can be handled various ways. I have never used any formal system, I've either just used textboxes & tables for logging on or linked it to the Windows signon to see if someone has access or not. Any advice on security is best left to someone else, though it would likely help to tell us which version of Access you are using.

Thanks for advice. I thought the splashscreen was something that replaces the original Access Start up splashscreen.

Sorry it is Access 2007

Maybe you can extract from my app, start without shift pressed or with shift pressed if you want to go yo navigation pane.. Is in development so you have to be creative in extracting.. In Touchscreen Payment code and form can be added to splashscreen to authorise..

You have to play a bit..
