I know how to create the ribbons XML file and how to work with ribbons.
The only thing I can't find is how to customize the ribbon's Tip.
I can set the Tip but it will also show the project's name. How can I avoid this?
In some of the built in tips there are images. How can I do that ?

Thanks,
Tal

Do you mean (screentip) ?

From page 30 in the PDF:-

p30 / 523
screentip Specifies a string to be shown as the screentip for this control.
p31 / 523
(screentip) The screentip and getScreentip attributes are mutually exclusive. If neither attribute is
specified, the application SHOULD display the label of the control as the screentip or
display no screentip at all.

For example, consider a button with a screentip, as follows:
This is specified using the following XML fragment:
<button id="button" imageMso="HappyFace" label="Button"
size="large" screentip="This is the screentip" />

The possible values for this attribute are defined by the ST_String simple type, as

specified in section 2.3.11.

Also:-
In the Book:-
RibbonX: Customizing the Office 2007 Ribbon
by Teresa Hennig; Robert Martin; Ken Puls
Published by John Wiley & Sons, 2008

There's a section:- "Overwriting Built-in Control Attributes"

You can view it for free for up to 10 days on the safari books online website...

Thanks for the reply
I do use the "Screen Tip" (Nice to know about the SuperTip too :) )

My question is how to get rid of the app name (Book3.xlsx in the PDF) shown in the tip?

After reading the ScreenTip and SuperTip section in the book you gave me it's seems it's not possible :banghead:
While it is unfortunate that we can't add images to our supertips, it is even more frustrating that we can't customize or remove the filename, gear icon, or help label that shows at the bottom of the supertip window. Although users may become accustomed to and even ignore these, it definitely counters any attempt to make things completely seamless with the existing application; and to add insult to injury, so to speak, pressing F1 for help, as advised by the supertip, offers no assistance whatsoever.
