Shared means - is the FE connected to a database that is shared by other users? And the answer to the second question in the same sentence is???

BE is shared, is Firebird or Microsoft Sql Server
FE is not shared, there is separate directory and separate Access fe for each user of the system

I guess the second question was written in invisible ink. I don't really care about the answer so please don't reply. All I am saying is that it is a question that YOU need to have answered before you commit to this type of conversion.
