DAP not loading

I have a db with some DAP’s, they run fine when I access them through IE using say \\servername\inetpub\database\page1.htm with useremoteprovider = false

I then change them to useremoteprovider = true try to access them using the above but with http: and nothing happens, page cannot be displayed.

Ran through all the setting up of virtual directory in IIS and adding DAP users account to folders security, all looks fine.

I am not convinced I understand the connection string part, I have the above as the path, but what about the path on properties of the file when listed in the design window, should that be the same or the C:\..... path that is mapped in order for me to select the page??

Has anybody got any suggestions what might be the issue? Just can't handle reading any more KB's.

I am not sure about the useremoteprovider option but the path you have specified is an internal network address a.k.a. UNC path which may suggest why you can get to the DAP with the flag off. When you turn the flag on you are buy default saying "I want an outside address" and therefore should use the forward slash " / "instead of the backslash " \ "

Thanks, I tried this but nothing.

Perhaps its not published to the web correctly?? Not had much experience on setting up web sites. They are simply in a folder that i have set as a virtual dirctory. When you look at IIS you see some with little cog icon, should the folder be like that or the globe icon??

Try using a URL rather than a UNC path to get to the page via your browser.
