Data duplication on report

Could someone help me understand why data are being duplicated on my reports?

I have created my first two reports based on staff SICKNESS and ANNUAL LEAVE.

From the attached print screens:

1. Doreen Grey booked two periods of annual leave (refer to Annual Leave print screen)

2. I do not understand why the one sickness period for Doreen Grey is showing twice on the sickness report (refer to Sickness print screen).

3. Could it be the way I have worked out the relationships? I have also attached a print screen of the relationships.

Because you have different start/stop dates for the leave, that you will get a record for each because you are including those in the report. If you leave them out, then you can aggregate the total leave but while you are including the actual dates of the leave then you will have a record for each one of those leave date ranges.

I do need the dates though.. Is there another way around this or another way of presenting it i.e. in a calendar etc..?
