Data for selection is sorted differently to the table

Hi

I have a number of tables that are sorted in ascending order but when using the form the data is not in the same ascending order.

e.g.

1-Girls
2-Boys
3-Infant & Preschool
4-All business Units

The drop down menu shows as (this is just an example the order is not necessarily as it would be)

4-All Business Units
2-Boys
1-Girls
3-Infant & preschool

I believe it is a combo box in the form - and I am sure that if I was building it from scratch I would just skip the page that offers a sort order.

please help - I am so close to getting this finished..

Base the combo on a query or SQL that sorts in the desired order.

The Combo is already in place can it be amended, changed or updated without having to start again? This field is linked in so many ways if I create a new combo box nothing works.

If I was creating this from scratch I don't think there would be a problem

Sure; just change its rowsource property. If the rowsource is currently the table, just click on the ellipsis (...) to the right and build a query.
