Hi all,

I have a couple of subforms on one particular PC where the data is showing in some strange font, WingDings or something like that. On my PC the data shows correctly.

Please see screenshot here: http://www.confetti.ie/screenshot1.jpg

I tried changing the Font Name for all the controls in the subform to common fonts Arial, Times etc but it still shows as WingDings.

I also tried changing the default font under Edit > Options to common fonts with no change. In the Options I tried changing font options on the Datasheet and Tables/Queries tab.

Thanks
Melt

I beleive you said that this is only happening on one computer?

If so, check that computer to see which fonts are installed.

Thats as far as my thinking takes me.

Thanks for the reply statsman,

I have a fix, sort of, I had to rebuild the form making sure to use a common font, i.e. Arial

If anyone has a solution that does not involve rebuilding the form, I'd like to hear it please, in case this crops up again.

Thanks

Regards
Melt

Look in Tools, Options, View Tab, Dual Font Support, Use Substitue Font.
You can set which font to display when the user doesn't have that particular font loaded on their machine.

Hope this helps

Hi jkl0,

Sorry, I don't see any Dual Font Support on the View tab, what version of Access are you using? I'm on Access 2003.

Regards
Melt

Sorry I am using 2000.
Don't know if 2003 has that option or not.
Will try to find out.

Don't have 2003 that I can verify on, but I found this on Googgle.

(in Tools / Options, View tag, under dual-font support)

I don't have the optin in View tab either: Access 2002 here
