I have an Access 2000 database which is concurrently used by approx 15 users at a time. This database has been converted from Access 97.

The database is split - with the back end on a server.

It has no Access security implications whatsoever.

Since converting the database seems to crash frequently, it has crashed about 10 times already today and I have to close all users down by Server Manager and repair.

Although if there are users still in the system then they can operate as normal and sometimes all i need to do is close users down by server manager without reparing and the database is back up and running.

I know this happens when users exit out of Access illegally etc etc. but I need a way of stopping this if possible. Thanks.

PS. My main focus now is looking into converting it into SQL server.

1) Can anyone recommend any good books on SQL 2000!
2) Has anyone got (that could forward me) any relevant documentation about upsizing to SQL - I cannot use the Upsizing wizard in Access2000 as I receive an Overflow message - EVEN WHEN I REMOVE ALL OF MY ACCESS TABLES AND TRY AND CONVERT.
3) Can anyone recommend any SQL training courses within the West Midlands area.

I know I'm asking a lot here and sorry for the cross-posting but I really do need some help.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
