Opening a database with Access 2000 (also created in 2000). The database has a password. After the password has been entered the following error appears:
THE DATABASE .MDB NEEDS TO BE REPAIRED OR ISNT A DATABASE FILE.
YOU OR ANOTHER USER MAY HAVE UNEXPECTEDLY QUIT MICROSOFT ACCESS WHILE A MICROSOFT ACCESS DATABASE WAS OPEN.
DOU YOU WANT MICROSOFT ACCESS TO TRY AND REPAIR THE DATABASE?
After I have clicked on yes, the following error appears:
THE DATABASE .MDB CAN NOT BE REPAIRED OR ISNT A MICROSOFT ACCESS DATABASE FILE.
Also after this error appears, i get another dialog box stating that the password is not valid, even though the password is correct.
I Have tried importing the tables into a new database, and also tried Compact and Repair, but to no avail.
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks
