Some help.
I have been tasked my boss to help with the migration of a database from one datacenter to another.
It has been decided to produce a flat file of the original database and transfer that and then import the file into the new database at the new location. (The data within the database only changes one a week so we will have no data change issues).
However I have been tasked with signing off the new database (i.e.) it is exactly the same as the original. Apart from checking that the users are created correctly with the correct permissions and the rows are the same in the tables, and that there is no errors in the restore logs is there anything else I should check for?
