Ok, I have a database... its almost done... I have done this in the past about 2 years ago...

I want to basically prepare my database for launch. I only want 1 form to open, when the database opens... and I want to ensure when I open a form (from clicking a button on the Home form) that only 1 thing is open at a time. ...

I don't want 3 forms to be able to open at the same timme... maybe a form and a report but thats it.

Also I want to be able to click the back to home button... it open the home, and the other form close...

I know i did this before, and I had a front end back end... but I don't have a clue how I did this last time. ... arghh

Working with 2007

Crearte a From I call Menu but whatever name you wish put Command Buttons to the other Forms and Reports would wish to run. I have atttached an example.

In the Access Options > Popular put the Form Name into Display Form

I have somethign along those lines, formMainHome ...

Do I need to have code, that closes each form prior when opening another form? or what? .... Also how do I get a form... my main home...

Not take up the whole screen... my home menu is only about 3x3 inches, but it opens for the whole dang screen... I just want it in a little almost like a dialog box in the middle...

For example...

do I need a code like the following on each button that opens another form... or is there an easier way to do it?

Code:
Sub cmdOpenNewFrom_Click()

   DoCmd.OpenForm "frmNew", acNormal
   DoCmd.Close acForm, "frmExisting", acSaveNo

End Sub

Yes if you want to hide drop the Form you can tab documents but that might not be what you want.
