Database Security

Hi People!!

I need some of your expert guidance!!!!. I have an Access 2000 database which has some Vb code. I need to secure the forms and protect the code from being tampered with. However i do not want to make it an MDE file. How can i set up user group security in a Access. I have never used any security features in Access.
