how do i select a number of items from a list box to be entered into the same field? for example, when i have a list of languages, say, english, french, german.... then i want to be able to select more than one of these so that the field data eventuallys says english, german. is this even possible?

or else, maybe they could be selected, just as access allows us to add multiple fields say to a query using the wizard, and the >> button.

any ideas? much appreciated!!

In the properties for your listbox, there is an option under 'Other' called 'Multi Select' which should be set to 'Simple'. Have you tried this?

You don't need to do it this way.

Use a main form and a continuous subform for your languages.
