Date Not Appearing Correctly

Good morning, I have a report and the date is coming out like this: August 6, 2008 and I would like it to read 08/06/08. I set the table's field and the report's format to Long Date to get it to stop displaying the year first. I have tried a few Input Masks but Nothing is appearing as I would like it, so what am I doing wwrong? Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Try just typing in: MM/DD/YY as the format in the report column.
